Software Architect (f/m/d)

location: Ulm, Unterschleißheim

Start: ab sofort

Tasks:

  • Develop and maintain the high-level software architecture used on BEV and FCEV trucks including firmware, application software, functional safety, cybersecurity, and over-the-air update mechanisms
  • Lead requirements development and design processes
  • Develop real-time operating systems for embedded multi-core applications
  • Provide technical expertise in firmware and controls software development
  • Support creation of next-generation firmware architecture based upon the Infineon TC4XX family
  • Support software root cause analysis
 

Requirements:

  • Master's in engineering - electrical, computer or mechanical or closely related discipline
  • Several years of experience in software development, proficiency in C/C++ programming preferred
  • Experience designing and/or developing software for use in safety critical environments, on-highway vehicles preferred
  • Solid understanding of vehicle systems and architectures, including microcontrollers or microprocessors
  • Solid understanding of communication protocols (CAN, LIN, SPI, UART, etc.)
  • Familiarity with automotive standards like safety (ISO26262) and cybersecurity fundamentals (ISO21434)
  • Familiarity with MISRA standards and verification tools
