Thermal Design Release Engineer (w/m/d)

Location: Ulm

Start: ab sofort

Tasks:

  • Develop thermal systems for battery electric and hydrogen fuel cell heavy-duty vehicles within the Vehicle Engineering group.
  • Take full responsibility for evaluation, documentation and release through all development phases until SOP.
  • Plan, organize and evaluate tests and simulations to optimize the design of components and systems for system performance, energy efficiency, and reliability.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure proper implementation.
  • Support testing and validation initiatives and lead troubleshooting efforts to validate and refine components.
  • Continuously evaluate and implement improvements to thermal system designs to enhance vehicle performance and meet project goals.
 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Automotive engineering; Master's degree is a plus. 
  • Several years of experience in thermal system design or as design release engineer in the automotive industry. 
  • Strong foundation in principles of heat transfer, fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, etc.  
  • Proficiency in CAD software and PLM systems; CATIA V5 and Teamcenter preferred. 
  • Experience with thermal analysis and simulation tools (ex. ANSYS, Fluent) is a plus. 
  • Fluent in English, additional languages – German and/or Italian is a plus.
