Powertrain System Engineer (w/m/d)

Location: Ulm

Start: ab sofort

Tasks:

  • Define the powertrain system requirements and associated system requirements.
  • Own the engineering tasks related to releasing, sourcing, and manufacturing including the BOM.
  • Spearhead change management activities related to the powertrain.
  • Represent the powertrain system during technical design and development activities.
  • Collaborate with program management, manufacturing, design & development teams, purchasing to ensure on-time signoffs.
  • Facilitate efficient issue/risk identification, communication, tracking, and resolution.
  • Work towards becoming a subject matter expert for powertrain systems and integration.
 

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Engineering – Mechanical, Electrical or related field.  
  • Several years of experience in releasing subsystems and components for automotive applications; BEV experience is a plus.  
  • Experience in requirements management and safety management for the EU, including functional safety and HARA.  
  • Strong understanding of system/component design/development, especially motor, inverter, and DC/DC.  
  • Self-starter willing to push system performance and cost reduction to meet company targets.  
  • Good communication and time management skills.
